form stuenad emerged from a simple observation during October 2018. After years working in commercial interior design across Singapore, I noticed how many people felt overwhelmed by their homes. Spaces accumulated clutter not through neglect, but through life happening. Furniture chosen hastily, decorations collected without intention, storage solutions that created more problems than they solved.
During a research trip to Copenhagen and Stockholm that autumn, I experienced something different. Homes there felt calm without being cold, organized without appearing sterile. People spoke about their spaces using words like "just enough" and "lagom" with genuine meaning, not as design trends. The philosophy made immediate sense for Singapore, where space comes at a premium and our tropical climate demands thoughtful material choices.
We launched form stuenad with a specific mission: help people create homes that support how they actually live, not how design magazines suggest they should. This meant bringing Nordic principles of simplicity and function to tropical contexts. Natural materials that breathe in humidity.
